How to Download Your 1099 From Poshmark This Tax Season

Step‑by‑step on desktop and phone

If you sold on Poshmark last year, tax time can feel a little overwhelming. However, once you know where to click, pulling your 1099 from Poshmark is actually very straightforward. Let’s walk through how to find and download your Form 1099‑K on both desktop and mobile. We’ll also cover what to do if you don’t see a form but still need your numbers for taxes.

Quick overview: Who gets a 1099‑K from Poshmark?

Poshmark issues a Form 1099‑K to sellers who meet IRS or state reporting thresholds and pass verification. For recent tax years, that has generally meant:

  • Federal threshold (example for 2023):

$20,000 or more in gross sales AND 200+ transactions

  • State thresholds: Some states require a 1099-K at lower levels. You may receive a form based on your state rules even if you don’t hit the federal threshold.

If you don’t meet the threshold, Poshmark will not issue a 1099‑K. If your taxpayer information couldn’t be verified, the issuance will also not occur. However, you can still pull your sales data using My Sales Report. I’ll show you how at the end.

How to download your Poshmark 1099‑K on desktop

Use these steps if you’re on a laptop or desktop computer with a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.).

Step 1: Log in to your Poshmark account

  • Go to: poshmark.com
  • Sign in: Enter the email/username and password connected to your seller account.

Step 2: Go to your account menu

  • Look for: Your profile picture or username at the top‑right corner of the screen.
  • Click it to open the drop‑down menu.

Step 3: Open your tax forms section

Poshmark sometimes nests tax forms under account or seller tools. Look for wording like:

  • “Account Settings” or “Settings”
  • Then a section labeled “Tax Information,” “Tax Forms,” or “1099‑K”

Once you’re in the tax or payments area, you should see a link or button. Use it to view your Form 1099‑K. Download the form if you qualify for one.

Step 4: Download your 1099‑K

  • Click: The Download, View, or PDF link next to the tax year you need.
  • Your browser will either:
    • Open the PDF in a new tab (you can then click Download or Print), or
    • Automatically download the file to your Downloads folder.

Step 5: Save and organize your file

  • Rename the file to something clear like: Poshmark_1099K_2024_YourName.pdf
  • Store it in a tax folder on your computer or cloud storage so it’s easy to find when you or your tax preparer needs it.

How to download your Poshmark 1099‑K on the mobile app (phone or tablet)

If you primarily sell from your phone, you can still access your tax form through the Poshmark app.

Step 1: Open the Poshmark app and log in

  • Tap the app on your iPhone or Android device.
  • Make sure you’re logged into the correct seller account.

Step 2: Go to your Account tab

  • Tap: The Account icon (often a silhouette or your profile photo) at the bottom or top of the screen.
  • This opens your main account dashboard.

Step 3: Find your tax or payment settings

Within the Account tab, look for:

  • “My Seller Tools” or “Settings”
  • Then a section labeled “Tax Information,” “Tax Forms,” or “1099‑K”

Poshmark’s layout can shift slightly with updates. Your 1099‑K will always live in the area tied to payments/taxes for your account.

Step 4: View and download your 1099‑K

  • Tap the link for the tax year you need.
  • The form will usually open as a PDF in your phone’s browser or PDF viewer.

From there you can:

  • Save to Files (iPhone) or Downloads (Android)
  • Share it to your email, Google Drive, iCloud, or directly to your tax preparer

Step 5: Keep a backup

  • Email the PDF to yourself with a subject like “Poshmark 1099‑K 2024.”
  • Save it in a dedicated “Taxes” folder so you’re not scrolling through your camera roll in April.

What if you don’t see a 1099‑K on Poshmark?

If your 1099‑K isn’t showing up, it usually means one of three things:

  1. You didn’t meet the IRS or state threshold.
    • Poshmark only issues 1099‑Ks to sellers who meet the required sales/transaction levels.
  2. You’re checking in the wrong place or on the wrong device.
    • Some help articles specifically say to check on a web browser if you don’t see it in the app.
  3. Your taxpayer information couldn’t be verified.
    • If your name, address, or SSN/EIN didn’t verify, Poshmark may not be able to issue a form.

If you still don’t see a form after confirming you qualify, double‑check your taxpayer information in your account settings and contact Poshmark Support if needed.
