Step‑by‑Step: How My Daughter Created Her Ladybug Nails

1. Prep + Base Coat

We filed her nails, pushed back cuticles, and applied a thin base coat. She slid her hand under the UV lamp.

2. Paint the Ladybug Red

She carefully brushed on the red gel polish and cured it under the UV light.

3. Add the Black Dots

Using a dotting tool or a toothpick, she added little black spots on each nail. Some big, some tiny, all perfectly imperfect.

4. Cure + Seal

After curing the dots, she added a glossy top coat. One more round under the UV lamp and her ladybug nails were officially complete.

Why this Activity is Awesome:

  • Encourages creativity
  • Builds fine motor skills
  • Affordable and easy
  • Makes kids feel independent
  • Creates sweet memories you’ll both remember

This simple ladybug design is perfect for spring or summer. It is also great for any day your child or teen or young adult wants a fun, themed manicure.
